STATUS
LIVE

A solution that streamlining workflows for Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) and Terminal Operators for Export Bookings
CONTEXT
As a Product Designer II at DP World, I led the design of the Export, Import, and Yard Services module (EXIMYD), a key part of DP World’s Port Community System. This module helps connect terminals and ports, enabling seamless interactions among the many stakeholders in port operations.
ROLE
I mapped out key user flows, the tool’s information architecture, and built a cohesive, scalable user interface.
The process included digging into pain points, defining the scope of challenges, collaborating with stakeholders, prioritizing what mattered most, designing solutions, testing usability, and guiding the implementation all the way through.
PROJECT IMPACT
The project reduced booking approval times by 45% and significantly increased transparency of the process both for Terminal Operators and BCOs
To kick off the design, I hosted a brainstorming workshop with product, development, and leadership teams to align on goals and business impact.
Bringing the development team in early was crucial to uncover how backend interactions, though invisible to users, would shape their experience.
This workshop helped me visualize the entire export booking lifecycle within the product, and helped me uncover opportunities for optimization.

PROBLEM
Through research, we understood that one of the key frustrations for users was the lack of clarity and transparency in navigating what is inherently a complex process, which led to delays in approvals.
